Job Description & Responsbilities

Responsbilities:

To be a biz partner to drive Danone mission of “STAND BY MUMS TO NURTURE NEW LIVES” with professional input with nutritional solution via clinical research platform. 

Driving the data management/ analysis expertise within the Strategic Evidence Team within ELN China by providing state-of-the-art innovations, solutions and processes for management and interpretations of data from clinical research. 

Your work will contribute to the development and implementation of nutritional solutions that provide clinically proven health benefits to Chinese infants, toddlers and expecting mothers & healthy ageing.

As a Data interpreter you are responsible for:

- Guide the Medical Science (MSI) team on innovative tools, processes for data interpretation

- Supporting the management of Data Management related activities

- Advise the team leader on roadmaps, guidance and efficiencies for the team

- Co-build strategic evidence programs, develop capabilities and implementing necessary tools both for Projects in a classical set-up (RCT) as well as Real World Evidence (RWE) projects.

The Data Analyst will work within the Strategic Evidence Team in China.

The Data Analyst is responsible for the curation, visualization and reporting of data from clinical research and data from digital tools. He or she will also  be responsible for supporting the Strategic Evidence Manager in management of external vendors (e.g. a CRO) regarding the data management activities of a clinical study.

Responsibilities include: 

In research projects:  

• Coordination in the preparation, execution and data management /analysis phase.

• Support and advice with selection of third parties (CRO’s, Databases, etc) involved in the data management activities  research projects. 

• Oversee the Data Management services of the CRO and monitor quality of these services.

• Review of study documents related to (eCRFs, ediary, data warehouse etc.)

• Coordinate the process of data management and statistical analyses.

In digital tools:

• Exam the big data extracted from digital tools

• Coordinate the SAP on the big data for drive the evidences to build product superiority

• Support the multi-dimensional data’s interpretation process to help improve digital tool and insights generation.

• Co building Quality Control Processes and Standard Operating Procedures 

For the strategic evidence department:

• Guide the strategic evidence team on innovative tools, processes for data interpretation

• Advise the team leader on roadmaps, guidance and efficiencies for the team

• Co-build strategic evidence  programs , develop capabilities and implementing necessary tools both for projects in a classical set-up (RCT) as well as Real World Evidence (RWE) projects

• Reviewing and further develop local operation procedures

The Data Interpreter is expected to show clear leadership, have a pro-active approach, able to work independently and can clearly guide the strategic evidence team on innovative tools, processes for data interpretation.

Functional Competencies:

- Strong Data Analytical skills in the (bio-) pharmaceutical, medical devices or nutrition industry.

- Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and local regulation and legislation for clinical studies 

- Experience in clinical research, including phase II, phase III, phase IV study and investigator initiated study.

- Excellent communication and data visualization skills. 

- Able to interact with a multidisciplinary project team and with all other external parties involved

- Knowledge of clinical research methodology and statistics; knowledge of systems biology will be a plus

- Good leadership, interpersonal skills and good team work

- Able to share knowledge and advices with team members

Relevant Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in clinical research, primarily compromising of clinical data management/ data analysis activities within clinical research of the pharmaceutical industry, food or academic research

• Experienced in Data management or data analytics. 

• Excellent communication an networking skills  to interact with a multidisciplinary project team at Danone and with all other external parties involved.

Preferences:

• Knowledge of conducting clinical studies according to ICH-GCP guidelines and local regulation and legislation.

• Experience with Real World Evidence projects and/or fully digital or remote studies  

• Experience with AI, algorithm- or machine learning

• Professional experience in the area of maternal & child healthcare nutrition or data analytics in the medical field


Qualifications:

Additional Requirement:

• Bachelor, Master, MD or PhD degree in a life science, computer science, biology, bioinformatics or related scientific discipline. 

• Fluent in English

• Experienced in Excel and/or SQL and/or Tableau or other relevant software for data analyses and visualizations 

• Affinity with Real World Evidence, innovative designs and digital tools in Clinical studies.

• To be able to work independently and  effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with competing priorities.
